This is a macro capture of a bloom on my Ric Rac Orchid, also called Fishbone Cactus, or St. Anthony's Rick-Rack. The leaves of the ric-rac orchid cactus are really beautiful and quite unusual. The ric rac cactus doesn't bloom often, in fact, only a few flowers will appear on old and rootbound plants and it may take a few years before that happens. In nature ric-rac orchid cactus grows, like orchids, forming clusters that cascade down from the branches of trees.
